You’re in the right place! To begin the course you will have needed to log 40 dives to start and by the end logged 60 dives. The PADI Divemaster course takes 3-8 weeks to complete.

When you complete the program, you will be eligible to conduct scuba reviews, supervise training activities, act as professional guides, as well as manage skin diver courses and assist in Discover Scuba programs. As a divemaster, you can rise as a role model or make diving a profession.

You will need to complete the following:

• Knowledge development reviews in the PADI Divemaster Manual.
• Create an Emergency Assistant Plan for designated dive site
• Complete water skills
  • 400 meter swim
  • 15 minute water tread
  • 800 meter snorkel
  • 50 meter Tired Diver Tow
  • Equipment exchange underwater
• Complete a diver rescue assessment
• Complete the dive skills workshop and assessment
• Demonstrate 24 diving skills
• Complete Practical Skill Application

PADI Divemaster pre-requisites

Interested participants should:

• be at least 18 years old
• have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months
• possess a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
• complete at least 40 dives and experience with deep dives, night dives, and underwater navigation
