The rescue course is one of the most rewarding courses that PADI offers. this is a two or three-day diving program that arms you with ample knowledge and skills needed when dealing with an underwater emergency. The rescue course increases your confidence and expands your knowledge on scuba diving. The Rescue Diver course is more physically challenging compared to other programs you have taken so far. The training of how to respond to dive emergencies, as well as preventing and managing problems. If you are an Advanced Open Water diver and keen to continue your journey to become a PADI professional – this is your next step! The course takes up to 4 days to complete. You are required to read the e-Learning training manuals before progressing to the performance-based training. Your knowledge will be put to the test in rescue scenarios as you face two simulated dive emergencies where you can apply the theories you learned and skills you mastered to ensure the safety and survival of everyone. The scuba diving equipment will be provided for you so there’s no need to rent or bring your own.
- Is CPR training required for Rescue certification? Yes, you’ll have needed to have completed this in the last 24 months or you can include this as part of your PADI Rescue Course
- What is the minimum age for a Rescue Diver course?
12 years old. 12-14 year old divers may earn the Junior Rescue Diver certification. - Is there a minimum numbers of dives needed before starting the course? No. You will have just needed to complete your PADI Advanced Open Water certification and be over 12 years old.
- Do I need to buy any equipment before starting the course? We encourage you to invest in a pocket mask for in-water resuscitation and a first aid kit.
- What else do I need to bring with me?
A swimming costume, towel, sunscreen and water bottle.
